Teerthas

Lesson 16 was about teerthas. It discussed the concept of teertha and its role in our life. We also went on a visual journey to several of the teerthas in India.

The picture above is Vishnuprayag, the first among the Pancha Prayagas as we make our way back from Badrinath to Haridwar. It is the only Prayag which is not at a human settlement. The Dhauliganga joins Alaknanda here. It is a mesmerising place. Lot of the pilgrims just drive past. Keep some time to stop here when you visit Badrinath, and also at each of the other Prayags.
